Skin Peels Dallas

Skin cells can build up over time, causing blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. Chemical peels safely strip away dead skin cells to reveal fresh, healthy skin underneath. Men and women in the Plano and Frisco area are trusting board-certified plastic surgeon Charles A. Wallace, M.D. and his team for refreshing chemical peels.

What is a Chemical Peel?

As we age, the skin can become clogged. Dead skin cells may hold on longer than they are supposed to, creating blemishes and areas of discoloration in the skin. Chemical peels are an advanced skin care procedure, using a chemical solution to remove these excess cells. A chemical peel can improve the overall texture of the skin, helping with fine lines and uneven pigmentation. There are different levels of peels available. The medical esthetician will analyze your skin and determine which peel is right for you.

The Art of Natural Looking Skin with a Chemical Peel

Chemical peels correct issues with the skin layer by layer. This enables the esthetician to take a gradual approach. The skin heals and refreshes itself once the damaged and dead cells are removed.

Benefits of Chemical Peel

Generally, chemical peels are cosmetic treatments used to improve the appearance of the skin. In some cases, they can also be used to eliminate precancerous cells. Treating severe acne and acne scars can also be achieved for some patients with a chemical peel.

Chemical peels can be used to treat many issues with the skin including:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Acne and acne scars
  • Blemishes
  • Scars
  • Dry, flaking skin
  • Uneven skin pigmentation
  • Sun damage
  • Some pre-cancerous growths

Is a Chemical Peel Right for Me?

A chemical peel may be right for men and women seeking a refreshed appearance and the elimination of issues such as acne, blemishes, and other types of skin damage. If you are unhappy with the appearance of your skin or feel self-conscious because of these issues, consult our medical esthetician to determine if a chemical peel is right for you.

After researching for about a month on the upcoming surgery that I wanted to get done, I choose Dr. Wallace office for my consultation. Although I felt I had so many of my questions answered based on my own research, Dr. Wallace still educated me on information that only a doctor would know with YEARS OF EXPERIENCE under their belt. The consultation went so smooth. I booked my surgery that day. 2 weeks later I had my surgery and NOW I am 1 month out of surgery and I’m in love with my results. It was everything I wanted and MORE!!! I followed all of instructions he and his staff gave me. Everyone was polite, friendly and professional. Dr. Wallace made this girl VERY happy.

Salicylic Acid is a powerful exfoliant that improves the appearance of aging skin. The superior exfoliation action is attributed to the lipid solubility of the acid. In addition to exfoliating the cells of the outer layers of the skin, it has also been shown to exfoliate the cells of the interior of skin pores. Salicylic Acid is best suited to oily and acne-prone skin
