Xeomin® Dallas
Your mouth says a lot about you, even beyond the words that come out of it. Xeomin® can reduce the signs of aging around the mouth and other areas of the face. Plano and Frisco area men and women have eliminated stubborn creases and lines with Xeomin® treatments by board-certified plastic surgeon Charles A. Wallace, M.D.
What is Xeomin®?
Our muscles contract in the same ways every day and over time this can cause creases and wrinkles to form. Xeomin® is a non-invasive facial injectable used to temporarily paralyze these troublesome muscles to allow the skin time to relax and smoothen. It is used to treat lines, wrinkles and creases around the mouth, as well as to smooth lines on the forehead and around the eyes.
The Art of a Natural Appearance with Xeomin®
Xeomin® is used to treat dynamic wrinkles that have formed through repetitive muscle contractions. Dr. Wallace prefers a conservative approach to any injection to ensure your desired results are achieved. This helps maintain the natural contours of the face, as well as natural facial expressions.
Benefits of Xeomin®
Similar to Botox®, Xeomin® reduces muscle contractions. This gives the muscles an opportunity to correct bad habits and for the overlying skin to recover. While some patients can develop resistance to Botox®, Xeomin® does not contain any additives that cause the body to build up this resistance. Patients find that results appear faster with Xeomin® injections. It is also generally less expensive than Botox®.
Is Xeomin® Right for Me?
Both men and women seeking to reverse deep wrinkles caused by muscle movement may be excellent candidates for Xeomin® treatments. Younger patients may benefit by using Xeomin® injections to keep these stubborn wrinkles at bay. Xeomin® is also appropriate for older patients who have begun to lose skin elasticity.
Elements of Xeomin® Treatments
Prior to your appointment, Dr. Wallace will devise a personalized treatment plan to suit your specific needs. He will examine the face and underlying muscle and discuss the best way to treat your deep wrinkles. During your treatment, you will receive a topical numbing agent to ensure your utmost comfort. Xeomin® is injected underneath the skin using a very fine-gauge needle. Each treatment session will take anywhere from 15-60 minutes. Some patients require additional treatments to achieve their desired result.
How much Does Xeomin® Cost?
Each patient has a unique face, and the treatment plan is different for everyone. The cost of your Xeomin® injections will depend on the extent of treatment. Before your appointment, our staff will ensure you understand the cost for your treatment and financing options available. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express® and Discover®. Financing options via Prosper® Healthcare Lending are also available.
After Your Xeomin® Treatment
There is almost no recovery time after Xeomin® treatments. You are able to return home and resume your normal activities that day. You may want to avoid strenuous activities for several days. Also, avoid prolonged sun exposure for the first few days after your treatment. Dr. Wallace will give you aftercare instructions, as well as details on any medications, creams, lotions or cleansers you should use or should avoid.
Getting Back to Normal Following Xeomin® Treatments
You may not notice results immediately after your treatment, but within the first few days, you will notice an improvement. Results generally last for up to six months. Dr. Wallace will guide you through scheduling follow-up appointments to maintain your wrinkle-free appearance.
